John James Chenille Hand Sewing Needles - size 22 (JJ18822)

Chenille sewing needles have a large eye and are identical to a Tapestry needle in length and in diameter. However, the Chenille has a sharp point, whereas the Tapestry needle has a round blunt point and is used in the art of crewel embroidery and ribbon embroidery. 

Sizes 13, 14 and 16 are commonly used for heavy and coarse fabrics. The finer sizes of 18 to 26 are also used in ribbon embroidery and embroidering with Perlé threads.
